Airport

How to get to the city?

If you are coming by plane you will want to know a way to get to the city ASAP. We recommend taking the Aerobus which has the best price/travel time ratio. Aerobus is a bus service that operates on a direct line between the city centre and the airport (~35min) and departs every 5 min. Should you prefer the second best and still quite cheap option, you can take a Renfe train line from Airport T2 to Plaça Catalunya.

How to move in Barcelona

We strongly recommend you use the bus and the subway (remember that subway is called 'metro' in Catalan) rather than taking a taxi. It may be a good idea to get a 2-day travel card or a 3-day travel card valid on all types of public transport within the Barcelona area (subway, bus and train).

Taxis in Barcelona are traditionally yellow and black, so you can easily recognize them on the street. To book taxis from your phone, call +34 93 225 00 00 or, if you have a data plan, use Mytaxi (actual taxi) or Cabify (Uber-like service).
