Physical spaces define and create mental spaces. That’s why DEVOPS.BARCELONA will take place in the AXA Auditorium, which is part of an enormous complex - Illa Diagonal - that integrates a shopping centre, two hotels, a parking lot and a public park located right at the heart of sunny Barcelona.

Barcelona is a small city and most landmarks are within a 30 minutes range by public transportation,
but these hotels are as close to the venue as it gets (less than 5 minutes walk).
If you are coming by plane you will want to know a way to get to the city ASAP. We recommend taking the Aerobus which has the best price/travel time ratio. Aerobus is a bus service that operates on a direct line between the city centre and the airport (~35min) and departs every 5 min. Should you prefer the second best and still quite cheap option, you can take a Renfe train line from Airport T2 to Plaça Catalunya.
We strongly recommend you use the bus and the subway (remember that subway is called 'metro' in Catalan) rather than taking a taxi. It may be a good idea to get a 2-day travel card or a 3-day travel card valid on all types of public transport within the Barcelona area (subway, bus and train).
Cabs in Barcelona are traditionally yellow and black, so you can easily recognize them on the street. To book taxis from your phone, call +34 93 225 00 00 or, if you have a data plan, use Mytaxi (actual taxi) or Cabify (Uber-like service).
